In this sector, communication between client and professional is essential, but one often encounters specialised language full of anglicisms, technical banqueting terms, and logistics jargon that can generate a lot of confusion.

A - C
AISLE RUNNER
Not just a simple walkway, but the element that defines the visual perspective of the ceremony. It can be fabric (carpet, cotton), mirrored, or personalised with graphics and quotes.
ATELIER
The studio or workshop where bespoke garments or custom design elements are created.
BACKDROP
A scenic backdrop (floral, textured, or digital) that frames key moments such as the corporate photocall or the exchange of vows.
BOUTONNIÈRE
The flower worn on the jacket lapel (groom, best men) or VIP guests at formal events.
BRIEFING
The foundational act of every project. It's a document or meeting where the client transfers objectives, values, target audience, and budget constraints to the Event Planner.
CAKE DESIGN
The art of creative pastry decoration, fundamental for weddings or event branding.
CATERING & BANQUETING
The professional food and beverage service, including setup and service staff.
CONCEPT
The strategic idea that ties every detail together: from the type of invitation to the choice of materials. It's what makes the experience unique and coherent from start to finish.

DESTINATION WEDDING / EVENT
An event held in a location different from the protagonists' place of origin, often abroad. Requires complex logistics management.
DRESS CODE
Essential for the aesthetic harmony of the event. Beyond classic Black Tie or White Tie, today more creative codes like Creative Black Tie or Beach Chic are used.
ESCORT CARDS
Name cards (often displayed creatively) that indicate to guests their assigned table.
F&B MANAGER (Food & Beverage)
Responsible for managing the entire catering department of an event.
FAIRY LIGHTS
Micro-LED strings used to create suggestive atmospheres or 'starry skies' both indoors and outdoors.
FOLLOW-UP
Often underestimated, it's the final phase of the project. Includes debriefing with the client, ROI analysis for corporate events, guest feedback management, and sending official thanks or post-event materials.
